- LM-30 - Energy and nuclear engineering
* The Degree Course is newly established and accreditated by the Ministry of University and Research.
The Master's Degree Course in Energy Engineering aims at training experts in energy engineering, capable of mastering methods and technologies of energy engineering in a multidisciplinary context, both from a theoretical and practical point of view, to address the challenges and opportunities of energy transition and electrification.
The course is taught entirely in English, and it is delivered in blended mode (50% face-to-face and 50% online), in accordance with the guidelines of the national PNRR EDUNEXT - Digital Education Hub project (https://edunext.eu/). This model allows students to enjoy flexible, digital and highly qualified learning.
The Energy Engineering degree programme offers two specific areas of expertise, to be chosen in the second year:
- Energy Systems and Processes: this track is focused on the design and management of energy systems and processes in industrial and civil contexts, with a strong emphasis on the rational use of energy for the production and air conditioning of buildings and the integration of renewable sources in the producer-consumer configuration.
- Power Generation and Conversion: this track is focused on the design of power generation and conversion systems based on new energy sources and carriers (above all, electricity and hydrogen) including skills related to thermal and mechanical design and innovative materials.
